As a Technical Product Designer, you would be part of a team that is responsible for designing new furniture and aerospace products and find creative and innovative solutions to customer needs. In addition, you would be responsible for exploring and testing methods, machinery, and materials to create better solutions for our internal build teams and our customers. Individuals in this position enjoy working in both the digital and physical world. Essential Job Duties:
-Design and model products for manufacturability.
-Work in a team and with other departments in the development of new products.
-Use creative problem-solving skills to constantly implement improvements to products and internal systems.
-Program and use automated machinery, such as CNC machines and robotics.
-Set up and operate drill presses, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, and wood-nailing tools.
-Incorporate soft goods into products, such as textile and foam.
-Inspect first articles to ensure quality and design specifications are met.
-Stand for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
-Lift 50 lbs frequently.

Qualified Applicants Have:
* Experience in new product development.
* Experience with design for manufacturing.
* Strong time-management skills and reliably meet project deadlines.
* Some mechanical engineering knowledge.
* 3D/CAD modeling experience (SolidWorks/NX preferred).
* Woodworking experience.
* High attention to detail.
* Enjoy working with a team to create products.
* Enjoy quick, iterative development cycles.
* Open to critique/feedback and want to learn and grow.
* Interest in plastic and metal fabrication.
* CAM and CNC operation experience.
* Enjoy interacting with customers and providing a customer-centric, interactive experience.

Benefits Package Includes:
Compensation starting at $24.00+ depending on experience
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Under 12 months: 1 hour PTO for every 30 worked.
After 1 Year: 70 hours PTO
After 3 Years: 110 hours PTO
After 5 Years: 120 hours + 30 hours paid Holiday during Christmas week
Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are paid for 10 hours after 3 months of employment.
Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits: Eligible for coverage on the 1st day of the month following completion of 60 days of employment.
Tuition Assistance: Eligible after 6 months of employment.
401(k): Employer match based on the profitability of the company.
