A-1 Landscaping and Construction, Inc. is seeking a Working Site Superintendent. We specialize in construction of Parks, Sports Fields, road building, underground utilities, WSDOT project in Washington.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that the work is safely and productively executed in a timely manner using the specified project materials and with superior workmanship in compliance with project plans and specifications

Direct, supervise, and coordinate all construction activities

Work with project manager to create and update the project schedule

Supervise and coordinate all staff and subcontractors assigned to the project

Be A-1’s representative in the field. Physically work side by side with the field crew as required

Communicate regularly and effectively with project inspectors, owners’ representatives and engineers

Implement A1’s Accident Prevention Program and develop and implement site specific safety plans

Reading and understanding plans, laser setup, contract provisions, grade stakes

Anticipate and resolve project issues and hurdles

Generate daily project reports and document the work

Ensure project tasks are performed safely

Develop three weeks look ahead schedule

Generate RFI’s

Track work changes

Qualifications

7+ years’ experience as an operator and minimum 2 year as a Superintendent

Experience leading a crew e.g. pipe layer, mass grading, fine grading crew

Able to perform physical tasks common to carpentry position (lifting, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, use of hand tools, etc.)

Ability to deal with unforeseen challenges and variety of personality types

Ability to read and understand plans and specifications

Proven history of being able to set grade

Must pass pre-employment drug test

OSHA 10 certified
