The Residential Area Program Manager works as a member of VCS’s senior leadership team to create a positive, supportive working environment where Residential Supported Living staff, management team members, and supported living individuals can thrive.
The Area Program Manager assists the Residential management team in modifying daily staffing schedules, assuring that client medical, dietary, and behavioral needs are met, and that clients are participating in the community activities of their choice, while also making progress toward their life goals.
The Area Program Manager also works to assure that agency policies, procedures, and contractual expectations are consistently met across the Residential programs.
Finding coverage for staff call outs and filling in if needed, serving as interim program manager for unfilled management positions or extended leave, ensuring habilitation goals are met and documented as per WACs, ensuring health and safety of supported living individuals, increasing opportunities for community access, and training staff members as a certified Peer Coach as needed.
The schedule for this position is typically Wednesday through Sunday with dedicated days off of Mondays and Tuesdays.
