Express is currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator for a company located in Everett.  This position requires a minimum of 2 years of processing payroll, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail. If this sounds like a good match for you, call us today!

Payroll Administrator
Location: Everett, WA
Pay: You can earn up to $50,000 per year, depending upon experience.  The pay increases after the probationary period and is contingent upon attendance and performance.
Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm

What you get to do:
-Execute the bi-weekly payroll functions for the entire organization; including entering of data into payroll software, changing and monitoring deductions, and maintaining all changes to payroll records within the payroll software.
-Use the payroll software to ensure accurate and timely tax filings in individual state and local taxing authorities.
-Collaborate with Division Managers regarding new hires, terminations, and benefit deductions while ensuring timeliness of submitting documents accurately.
-Manage vacation/sick/401k policies, employee receivable balances, and transactions.
-Process paperwork for newly hired employees including documents required with form I-9.
-Manage and generate various reports (including audit reports) from timekeeping and payroll systems.
-Responsible for being the main point of contact for all payroll related matters and respond to time-sensitive and/or confidential matters in a timely manner.
-Assist with the administration of certain company benefits, such as the Medical Plans, 401K Plan, and Voluntary Insurance Plans.
-Responsible for distribution of benefit materials during open enrollment periods for the Medical Plans, 401K plans, and Voluntary Insurance Plans.
-Reconcile the quarterly and year-end tax returns, and W-2s, completed by the payroll provider to ensure accuracy of reporting and payments.
-Review and process 1095 forms in compliance with the Affordable Health Care Act.
-Assist with 401K audits and prepare 401k year-end schedules.
-Management of various HR Administrative responsibilities.

What you need to be successful:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Flexibility and capacity to manage many responsibilities simultaneously
-Ability to organize projects, to prioritize workflow, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately
-Detail-oriented and highly organized with proven follow-up capabilities
-Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone, in person, and in written correspondence
-Excellent customer service skills
-A minimum of 2 years or more of experience processing payroll and managing payroll systems.
-Working knowledge of ADP Payroll software
-Working knowledge of I-9 forms and required documents for newly hired employees
-Proficient in MS Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel
-Strong analytical skills and strong working knowledge of general payroll protocols, and Federal, State, and local regulations
