About the position: The Snohomish County Department of Information Technology (IT) is searching for an experienced IT Project Manager-Architect/Lead/Master to drive strategic IT initiatives and support county-wide IT driven projects. Examples of work the role will lead includes the efforts to improve digital equity for Snohomish County cities and rural communities as well as focus on the development and determination of new IT solutions, processes, frameworks, and solving IT business problems. Snohomish County IT is also developing the structure, design, and management of IT planning and governance processes in which this role will play a critical part. This position will provide strategic recommendations on how best to solve the most complex business problems across all IT fields and disciplines while exploring unconventional and inventive ways to resolve challenging technical problems within the enterprise environment in the County. Additionally, this role works collaboratively with our partners and customers throughout the region and within Snohomish County. Our ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, possess a mastery of verbal and written communication skills, be comfortable working directly with end users on projects and issues related to implementation and ongoing support plus be self-motivated and accountable plus remain and excel in a flexible environment whether working independently or in a collaborative team environment. The position is an integral part of the IT functions and will report directly to the IT Deputy Director and will act in an advisory role for the IT Leadership Team.

Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Snohomish County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their Snohomish County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
