This is a full-time position working day shift and reporting to the General Manager of Assembly. We are looking for experienced Assembly Mechanics to assemble parts into kits and assemblies for Cobalt customers (aerospace & defense).

 

The essential function of this position is to perform assembly-type functions and meet daily production schedule demands.  This position must be capable of following detailed engineering specifications and follow and document a multi-step assembly process.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Following specific instructions and use shop equipment to combine smaller parts into a larger part.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Working within a team environment where manufacturing and quality work together to ensure quality products are produced.

 

 

SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Requires High School or GED education
  • Requires ability to work cooperatively and/or civilly with all employees
  • Requires hands on knowledge of Aerospace level Riveting, Heli-Coil Installation, Shrink Fit Bushing Installation and Seal Applications.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and work instructions to complete final assembled product.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications and product TDS requirements.
  • Ability to follow step-by-step instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both oral and written skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret Mechanical/Assembly drawings & specifications
  • Ability to measure stock levels and estimate parts per project
  • Ability to complete assigned work within deadlines
  • Good organizational skills & ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Prefer experience working in aerospace or other precision manufacturing related field.
  • Prefer experience operating a forklift or ability to learn upon hire.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
