Administrative / Certification Assistant
Location: Monroe, WA
Pay: Earn up to $22.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm (schedule subject to change)
What you get to do:
-Identifying eligible applicants for vacant units
-Processing applicant paperwork in compliance with all occupancy regulations established by HUD, Tax Credit and other regulatory agencies
-Manages all aspects of the affordable multifamily housing waiting lists
-Employee will work closely with the Compliance Manager and Community Managers in working towards providing safe, affordable and quality homes for individuals and families
-Assist site staff with completing resident annual recertification which includes:
-Meeting with residents in person or virtually to complete income questionnaire
-Requesting verifications of income and assets from 3rd parties
-Reviewing and submitting completed annual packets to site staff or compliance department
-Process housing packets, renewals and recertification documentation
-Communicate all problems and recommendations to the Portfolio Manager
-Other duties as assigned
What you need to be successful:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Prior certifications in any of the following:
-HUD, Tax Credit or related compliance certification
-Experience in housing software, especially RealPage
-Experience with WBARS
-Occupancy Specialist, Blended Occupancy Specialist or Tax Credit Specialist
-Reliable transportation with a Valid Driver’s License
-Have a minimum of 1 year or more in Property Management
-A minimum of 2 years or more of affordable property management or compliance
-Working knowledge of HUD or Tax Credit rules and regulations
-Good knowledge of Landlord/Tenant and Fair Housing law
-Calculate figures and amounts
-Multi-task and prioritize workload
-Communicate effectively on the telephone, in person, and in written correspondence
-Flexibility and capacity to manage many responsibilities simultaneously
-Prioritize workflow, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately
-Detail-oriented and highly organized with proven follow-up capabilities
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
-Handle finances and work within a budget
-Interact with a wide range of people
-Excellent problem-solving skills regarding residents, personnel, finances, equipment failure, emergency situations, etc.
-Is a self-starter
-Reliably travel to various locations in Snohomish County
